The Mike & Barbara Segan Scholarship Fund
Barbara and Mike Segan were both born in New York City and spent many of the happiest years of their lives there. Mike Segan did not have the opportunity to attend college because of financial circumstances. Barbara Segan was the first in her family to attend college and later, in her 40’s, went to graduate school, studied library science and became a librarian in the Queens library system in NYC where she worked for 25 years.
The Mike & Barbara Segan Scholarship Fund, administered by the Fund for Public Schools, Inc., will be for students with significant financial needs who graduated from a NYC high school. The scholarship will help support attendance at college.
The Fund for Public Schools is a 501(c)(3) public charity; all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donations can be made online below or by check payable to the Fund for Public Schools and mailed to 52 Chambers Street, Room 305, New York, NY 10007 with a note that the contribution is for the Mike & Barbara Segan Scholarship Fund.
